Volunteer
The success of YYTF is heavily dependent on volunteerism. We respectfully request that a representative from each tackle football and cheer participant’s family volunteer their time for a few hours.There are a variety of volunteer opportunities that will be made available to the families of participants through our Dibs system. This system will allow volunteers to choose a time and volunteer position that is convenient for their family. A link to this system can be found below.
It is each volunteer's responsibility to sign in at the volunteer book located at the concession stand on the day that you volunteer. The volunteer book is used to verify that your family has completed its volunteer duties. If your family has completed volunteer service for the season, your $150 deposit will be returned to you at the time of equipment return. If you are unable to complete the volunteer service hours, the $150 deposit will not be refunded to you.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Football and Cheer head coaches needed for all age levels.
Assistant Coaches:
Assist Head Football and Cheer coaches at all age levels.
Cheer Showcase:
There are multiple positions available for this day.
Admission - collect admission fee; hand-out programs; provide information.
50-50 Raffle - work with a partner to sell tickets in the crowd
Raffle table - work with a partner to sell tickets for our raffle baskets
Flowers and Cards - work with a partner to sell flowers and cards
Cheer Spirit Wear - work with a partner to sell various spirit items for all MYFC cheerleaders
Team Check-in - assist the coaches with checking in their performing teams
Warm-up Check-in - assist coaches with teams transitioning to the warm-up mats
YYTF Spirit Wear - sell YYTF spirit wear items
Concessions - assist with preparing and selling food and drinks. This also can include set-up and clean-up duties.
Clean-up Crew - assist the YYTF Showcase committee with the break-down and clean-up duties.
Concessions Chair:
Organizing concession purchases and sales for the YYTF concessions trailer.
Concessions Co-Chair:
Assist Concessions Chair.
Equipment Chair:
Help with organizing purchasing and equipping our athletes.
Equipment Co-Chair:
Assist Equipment Chair.
Equipment Handout:
There are multiple volunteer positions for these evenings.
Check-in table - check that each family is turning in the required paperwork.
Cheer pick-up - assist cheerleaders and parents with uniform and spirit pack pick-up.
Exit check - verify that the parent/player has visited all required stations.
Greeter - provide information/instructions to families and control lines at check-in.
Runner - assist families missing paperwork with getting equipment; bagging & tagging it for a later pick-up.
Weight-name table - record the weights for our football players; verify last name spelling for jerseys and create label for helmets.
Spirit Wear sales - assist with sales of our spirit wear items.
Game day announcer:
Announce games at YMS. The announcer will use our sound system to play music, introduce our players, introduce the visiting team, call plays and work the scoreboard. The position is loads of fun for the right personality who is not afraid of a microphone. Complete training and tutorials will be made available to any individuals. There are multiple volunteer positions at each home game.
Concession workers - Assist with serving and selling food during games. This can incldue set-up or clean-up.
Field Crew - Staff the chains or down marker - "chain gang". This can include set-up and clean-up.
Raffle Team - With a partner, sell 50-50 tickets during first half and half-time of a game. Winner announced between 3rd and 4th quarter.
Scoreboard - Sit with game day announcer and run the new scoreboard. This involves maintaining the game clock. Knowledge of the game of football a must!
Spirit Wear Tent - sell YYTF spirit wear during games. This can include set-up and clean-up.
Picture night help:
Assist photographers with the team photo process.
Practice help at the POD:
There are multiple volunteer opportunities.
Equipment fit - assist our players with pick-up and adjustments to equipment.
Spirit wear sales - sell spirit wear items at practice.
Cheer pick-up - MUST BE FEMALE PARENT - assist our cheerleaders with uniform and spirit pack pick-up.

Manage the registration process for football and cheerleading.
Spirit Wear Chair:
Work with local vendors to design spirit wear to sell to our athletes and their families.
Spirit Wear Co-chair:
Assist Spirit Wear chair
Team Mom:
One per team! This position lasts the entire season. Assist coach when needed; coordinate spirit activities with your flight; and assist YYTF with miscellaneous duties.
Volunteer Chair:
Manage the scheduling of all YYTF volunteers.
Webmaster:
Updating, editing and entering information in our database.
