As we begin preparations for the 2018 season, please note YYTF's registration dates, fee structure, fundraising obligation, and general policies. Also, please see below for equipment pick-up and practice start dates. Key points this season are as follows:
Registration for tackle football opens on February 1 and will close on March 31. Athletes who wish to play tackle football must be 7 years old by 9/1/17 to participate this season.
To secure your athlete’s spot on a tackle football team, you MUST register before March 31. THERE IS NO LATE REGISTRATION.
Cheerleading registration will open Feb 1 and close June 11th. NO LATE REGISTRATION
Flag and Flag Cheer will open Feb 1st and close June 11th.
For the tackle program, the registration fee for tackle football players is $275 per player. For Tackle Cheer, the registration fee will be $225.
All tackle football and cheer athletes must submit a current health physical. Please look under the "Football" or "Cheer" tab on the yytf.org website to download a copy of this form.
All TACKL E FOOTBALL PLAYERS ONLY must submit a copy of their birth certificate; originals will not be accepted. Cheerleaders do not need to supply a birth certificate.
For the tackle football program, all sports physicals, birth certificates, and an additional $150 equipment/volunteer (DIBS) deposit check (per athlete) MUST be submitted during equipment handout. For Cheerleaders, all sports physicals and an additional $150 equipment/volunteer (DIBS) deposit check (per athlete) MUST be submitted during equipment handout. Equipment will not be given out to your athlete unless you present all of these items. The $150 check deposit will be fully refunded to you at the end of the season when you return your equipment and complete your required volunteer (DIBS) hours. You will also have the option to pay $150 (per athlete) up front and opt out of any volunteer requirements. There are no volunteer (DIBS) hours required for Flag Football.
There will be a fundraiser. You will be REQUIRED to sell $100 worth of raffle tickets for your first and second child. If you do not wish to sell raffle tickets, then you can opt to “buy out” of the fundraiser. The buyout option is $50 for your first and second child. More details on this year’s fundraiser will follow soon.
Equipment handout dates are July 19 and 20 at YMS. Times are to be determined.
Practices for Tackle Football begin July 23. All practices are held at Rotary Park on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:30 pm—7:30 pm.
All home games will be played at Yorkville Middle School. A complete schedule of games for the 2018 season will be available in mid-July. Watch the website for additional information, dates, and DIBs volunteer opportunities.
Like last season, weekly "weigh-ins" will be conducted prior to each game. For all of the conference's rules and regulations, check out the MYFC website at http://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=myfc.

5&6 year olds only. Athletes that turn 7 years old before September 1st, 2018 are ineligible to play flag football/flag cheer. Flag registration will automatically close at 60 athletes. To be placed on a wait list please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Every athlete will be required to sell $50 worth of raffle tickets. Raffle tickets will be distributed at equipment handout in late July. At that time you will be required to provide YYTF with a $50 check. YYTF will keep the check; you sell the raffle tickets and keep the money.
